Hello all,

First, may I congratulate you on the design and functionality of the Real Estate Script and the Support structure you have in place.

For many years I have been looking for a script both affordable and as comprehensive as Real Estate Script.

But.... I do have 2 queries regarding 'some' of the content available to Vacation Rental websites, such as my own.

Is there a, or will there be an implemented way of changing the number "Bathrooms" to the "Capacity" of a property??
This (I think) is an important piece of information that potential 'renters' look for.
As an example: Just because a house has 3 bedrooms, doesn't necessarily mean it can only sleep 6 (2ppl in double beds per bedroom) - Sometimes a bed settee may be available in the lounge for instance and therefore raise the capacity to 7 or 8...

The "Living Area" and "Total Area" are 2 fields that are not that essential to a vacation rental website - Is there, or will there be a functionality in the administration settings to turn off both of these fields if you so wish? Some rental owners don't know the inside measurements of their own properties....

Time and date label

Hi there,

I'm testing the script and noticed that "at" is repeated twice in the comment time line (at AT 10:30 AM). I managed get rid of the second "at" by deleting the entry in "english.php". That worked well for me until I decided to try to change the current time and date order for "On Friday 30 December at 10:30", and I couldn't find where the first "at" is located at. Any advice on this?

Hello,

I thought it might be of help. I'm testing the script in a SSL protected site and I was getting a security warning while requesting the gravatar image. I've been searching this forum and the knowledge base but I didn't find a solution for this.

Anyway, after a little bit of research I found the PHP files that do the requesting:

comments/add-comment.php
comments/templates/comments.php
comments/js/comments.js

and changed the link

Formatting Issues with IE8

Hi. Hoping someone can help with a formatting issue I'm having with IE8.

On http://www.nutwiisystem.com/best-wii-exercise-games.html, it seems that the comment boxes for some reasons get smaller and smaller. I don't see this issue on FireFox or Chrome.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Pro Add Comments script 2.0 released

Dear current and potential customers,

We have worked hard for previous few months and finally we have released Pro Add Comments script 2.0
Although it's spiritual successor of our old Comment script, this is complete rewrite of code (and lot of new code added) and basically new script. However, users of old Comment script can easily switch to new script using our installation wizard.

We have integrated Instant Update installer in Pro Add Comments, so if you have used Instant Update then you should be familiar with installation of this script. If not, the installation is really user-friendly, and I will be there trying to answer to your ticket as soon as possible, if necessary.

The script comes with very neat design and XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid HTML code. It has ajax powered submit feature which can be disabled from administration panel (see below), but it's advised to turn it off only to debug ajax errors. Also, there is ajax powered quote system with pretty nice eye candy sliding effect. Check it out at our demo page:

If you are posting comments while logged in, your comments will be highlighted. Also, you will have few options to moderate comments from frontend; those are options like: Un-approve | Ban IP address | Edit | Remove - each is pretty self-explanatory I think. For advanced moderation you should open administration panel (located at www.yourwebsite.com/comments/admin/) and log in with your administrator user name and password (that's what you defined during installation [ http://members.cubescripts.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=3 ]). There you will be able to do batch operations on comments, and also you can back up comments from there, ban certain users (by name, email, website or IP address), close comments on some pages, etc...

We keep following our integrate-everywhere rules so this script is, like Instant Update, easy to integrate into certain pages. It also can be used for different articles on same PHP page (dynamic pages). Spam? We hate it. Pro Add Comments script comes with basic CAPTCHA protection. The captcha is very nice and easy to read, at least for humans. It stops over 95% of spam. And for those elegant and serious players, we have Akismet antispam support integrated. With Akismet, you can disable CAPTCHA and still have more than 97% of spam stopped at the gates. Instant Update 3.2 and W3C Compliancy?

A couple of areas to cover in this really,

currently I have developed a single page XHTML, CSS Driven page and incorporated Instant Update 3.2 in the background, now I am looking at the W3C side of this and only a few small areas that are causing me problems, errors & warning shown below? now as the content is dynamic and PHP / JavaScript is a weak point of mine slightly, I am unable to determine exactly what I need to amend to remove the offending code.

The two errors:

Lastly the menu's populated by Instant Update are also causing issues (although not used in this particular draft template) these have shown to fail the W3C compliance test in the past as well, only due to the repeated same ID tag of menueitem if I remember correctly. And finally but a little off topic, I have purchased the unlimited licence, once I have completed the above tasks and successfully managed to utilise all of the IU 3.2 features and functions and made sure these all comply to W3C standards, I plan to develop and sell IU 3.2 templates based on the IU 3.2 platform for very small sole traders, tradesmen etc. and even to small business in need of a valuable on-line presence, as far as I can see this would not be breaching your terms and conditions of use but would like written clarification from your team just to make sure this is ok with your team for me to start offering / selling templates designed for use with IU 3.2 ready for IU 3.2 users to upload with there IU 3.2 package purchased from Cube Scripts and / or packaged as a final end product for people who approach us direct that we install on our hosting companies servers the IU 3.2 software purchased buy us in the past, and deploy with one of our templates at a cost to the client?

Could you please confirm that this is not in breach of your terms or conditions and that your are happy for us to provide such products and / or services to both public and business sectors alike.

Hi, this product looks fantastic - this is exactly what I am looking for for one of my clients. I do have one question before I purchase, however. In the features of Instant Update, you have: "Support for plugins: image galleries, peel ads or MySQL plugin." I am most interested in an image gallery plugin - is this going to be available soon?

I really like the script, however I am finding that most people are not commenting.

Is there a way I can just have just your name and the comment box and not have the other fields- email and website

The easier it is for people to comment the more likely they will interact with it, I think too many fields puts people off from commenting.

I finished putting in the Mysql database thing and all is well. The next screen told me the following:

Installation is now complete. Thank you for using Pro Add Comments!
Before you can use your version of Pro Add Comments, you need to delete whole install/ folder from your comments/ directory!
Login to Pro Add Comments.

So I went to my FTP, found the folder that said "comments" and deleated the folder. I went back to click on the "login" link they had and it just took me to a dead page on my website. So now I'm stuck again.

Installed Comments AOK But ..

How to Add Social Media Buttons (Facebook or Twitter) Into Comments

So I was wondering how to add the social media buttons like Facebook "Like" and Twitters "Tweet This" into the comments bubble.

Of course doing this would make the script and functionality aspect very inviting to visitors wanting to comment on stuff.

Especially seeing as how a mere click to a Facebook like would be attractive to a commenter and reader alike.

Any thoughts?

AdSense Code Don't Show On Page

and the code would not show or render the AdSense images / text etc.

Is there some reason AdSense don't show up cause of the script? And if so how or what to do so that the Google AdSense code displays correctly.

ListComments() function and Custom fields

I've got two questions, combined into one thread for convenience!

I've got PAC installed and everything works except customising the ListComments function. ListComments() works great without the optional variables ($id and $order). I can add the $order variable fine, to change the sort order to DESC, but as soon as I add an $id to ListComments no comments are displayed. Here's some sample code

$id = '/some/path.php';
ListComments($id,"DESC")

$id is defined and has a value (tested with print_r($id) so it isn't a problem with an empty var. If I remove $id from ListComments it works fine. What might be happening?

Also
I'd like to add a couple of custom fields to the comment form. Is the script set up to allow custom fields or will I have to hack the code?

Hello

The Instant Update has been successfully installed but I have a problem under Internet Explorer... after a page is loaded, there is a warning sign on the bottom left that says done with errors.

The error :

'jQuery' is undefined

problem with Instant Update CMS and "path"

Hello,
I have a problem with Instant Update CMS with using it with my current website (I'll don't need a default template anymore).
So I set:

define('BASE_PATH','./');
include BASE_PATH . 'manage/functions.php';
?>

plus the footer thing on the bottom.

When I edit a file in existing content, I get the error:

Fatal error:
File C:\www\MyWeb.com\website/C:\\www\\MyWeb.com\\website/faqs.php does not exist!

The path is looking for is not the correct one, why??

List of modifications in 2.2:

* Added star rating for individual comments. You can easily exclude administrator comments from being rated.

* Completely rewritten comments' and comment form templates. Code is now cleaner and easier to customize. Note: This may be in conflict with your current design, especially if you made some custom modifications to the original templates. However, new template has improved CSS structure giving you more freedom to modify comments to your needs.

* Ajaxified all admin options (except editing of comments). There is a fallback to standard link-based actions for non-JavaScript users.

* Rounded corners are now optional and can be turned On/Off from Admin Settings page.

* Improved comment live-as-you-type preview.

* Several minor code improvements.

Directory not showing up...

My website has most of its files in the same directory as IU but there are two directories within the first. I can't get the sub-directories to show up...

ie: Mainsite/subdirectory

I have tried all variations that I can think of for the header code to make a couple of directories show up in the edit source area.

Currently its like this (I even ran the IU convertor on the files):

include BASE_PATH . 'manage/functions.php';

and the sub-directory looks like this:

define('BASE_PATH','../');
include BASE_PATH . 'manage/functions.php';
?>

I'm sure I'm missing something really simple... everything else works fine!
